Ari S. Berman


Dr. Berman was born and raised in Cape Elizabeth, Maine.  He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Biology and received his M.D. from Boston University School of Medicine.  Dr. Berman completed his internship, residency and chief residency in Internal Medicine at Boston Medical Center.

Dr. Berman is board certified in Internal Medicine and began his career in Western Massachusetts working as a hospitalist and a primary care physician.  Since 2013, he has practiced with Southern Maine Geriatrics Associates and serves as attending physician and Medical Director for the Gorham House Nursing Facility and Seal Rock Health Care. 

He currently serves on the Board of the Cape Elizabeth Education Foundation and is a past Board Member of the Maine Medical Association. 

His clinical interests include palliative and hospice care as well as the primary and rehabilitative care of the adult and geriatric population. 

Dr. Berman lives in Cape Elizabeth with his wife and 3 young children, and enjoys time with his family when he's not caring for patients of Southern Maine Geriatrics.
